Our Story
Hi, I am Mimi and welcome to my page Micasia, whether you are looking for a feline friend or just simply a cat lover, I am glad you landed on our page. It all started more than 30 years ago when I had my first red tabby cat and he had been a big part of my life. With a proper living standard, he lives till 19 years of age and that was when I got my first Siberian cat. I was awe-captured by this beautiful, magnificent breed that is both fearless and elegant at the same time. They are known to possess dog-like character, strong yet gentle. Not only being eye-catching, the Siberian cats are known for its hypoallergenic property. Therefore after spending 13 years with my Siberian, I decided I would like to introduce this wonderful breed in this part of the world where family with kids or individuals with allergy problem can now own a beautiful fur friend happily.
Our Cattery
Micasia is a boutique cattery that focus on quality instead of quantity. Our cats are not locked behind glass doors like commercial products. They are free to roam around the house and are big part of our lives. However there is nursery room for newborns and playroom for young kittens to release their joyful energy!!
We are a loving, ethical cattery holding high standards in raising our felines. We are certified registered cattery by World Cat Federation upholding our felines’ well-being, appearance, health status but very importantly we train their temperament with a nurturing and balanced environment.
We only breed traditional Siberian line (no color points or CP carriers) to ensure this bloodline continues as purebred. Our kitten are allowed to leave home to new owner only after 12 (16 if sending abroad) weeks of age. Too often we have seen horrific breeding practices in Asia; Dams are over bred, often too young, and kittens are unhealthy and brought up in poor living conditions. They are usually separated from their mother too early resulting in all sorts of health conditions, a lower quality of life and a shorter life span. Here at Micasia, all felines are treated with upmost care with spacious space, balanced nap/play time and fresh cooked poultry meals designed for cats digestion.

Why Siberians?
Aside from their big bonus in being hypoallergenic, Siberian has dog-like character which makes them precious and unique. They use their incredible intelligence to solve all kinds of problems-like determining to how to open a door to be with the owners they adore, how to get to the cat food for an extra meal, or how to recover the favorite toy their owner thinks they have so cleverly hidden out of reach! They are powerful agile cats that can leap great distances and heights, sometimes appearing to fly through the air, but despite their size, they are adept at negotiating obstacles in their path without knocking them over. At the same time, they love to play and will entertain you with their clown-like antics. They adore their human families and their visitors-with children holding a warm spot in their hearts. They have a wonderful depth to their purr and talk to you with a chirping sound, particularly when they are coming to greet you when you have been out.
